Landlord kicked everyone in a WG out and is now refusing to give us back the Kaution, what can we do?
hey, basically we had a really toxic landlord who, firstly, was really rude to us all the time. Fast forward in june 2026 i decided to just move out and he said he'll take our Kaution because we broke the bed. We showed him that even in his listing that part of the bed was broken (It wasnt much at all so we didn't care, also the kaution is 1000 euros and his bed cant be worth more than 100). Even when when i said that i ll just buy you a new bed myself he said no now i will take your Kaution. To be honest that had really affected us alot since we're just a student couple with barely enough money to survive. Just yesterday i received a message from one of the other girls in the Apartment that the landlord asked ALL of them to move out from the house by 30th September and they did. NOW HE HAS REFUSED EVERY SINGLE 1 FOR KAUTION!!!!! The whole house was a WG and it had alot of people, 3-4 rooms in basement, 3 rooms in EG, and a full apartment in the dach. He kicked everyone out and is refusing to give the Kaution and somehow has such excuses for everyone. The guy has 100k followers and is running a lucrative business in Mannheim. Im so depressed
