Why do we donate blood for free when there are healthcare CEOs getting rich and hospitals charging an arm and a leg to help patients who need the blood?

I've been shamed because I refuse to donate blood for free. Healthcare in America is for profit, so why are we donating blood for free? We should get a cut. It seems like exploitation.
