Guy has remote start on a stick shift. Sends his car right into my car when it starts in gear
Nobody was hurt and the situation is being handled, but still sucks. My old Lexus was at my buddies shop getting some work done. Another client was picking up their car and decided to use the remote start. Unfortunately, his car is a manual and the mechanic left it in gear (like you’re supposed to). His car drove itself across the parking lot, right into the back of my car in the bay. I haven’t had a chance to check it out, but it sounds like my car won the fight, lol
In case you were wondering, yes. It’s an aftermarket remote start with the safeties bypasses. This is why you don’t usually see that feature on a wiggle stick. So now there’s one less 6MT TL out there and my SC needs to take a trip to the body shop. I’m not out of pocket, and I know the shop owner will make sure it’s all taken care of. Still sucks
