I have to stop reading threads about wealth inequality and fairness, but until then I'll share another thought for you to consider. They say...
"We should make it illegal for a CEO to make more than [fill in the blank] times more than the lowest paid employee. You can't convince me that the CEO works [fill in the blank] times harder than they do."
That perspective will lead to a lifetime of miserable victimhood. An efficient market offers little correlation between effort and pay. What you are paid is driven by how the result of your work is valued. Michael Jordan didn't work 100x more than a rookie, but he was paid 100x more than the rookie and 20x more than the coach because the job wasn't to try hard, the job was to bring the audience. Figure that out and you can be the CEO and voluntarily cap your own pay.
