Did you know that bananas are technically berries , but strawberries are not?
In botanical terms, a berry is a fleshy fruit produced from a single ovary. By that definition, bananas fit the bill perfectly. Meanwhile, strawberries are "aggregate fruits" because they come from a flower with multiple ovaries.
