Bought a manual and saved $5,000!
Hello everyone! Just wanted to share my story about my new truck. I needed a truck for my summer job which involves Rocky trails, tons of off-roading, and camping/trekking gear. I settled on a 2017 Tacoma that was around $25,000. However, the salesperson made a comment that they have another one but no one has been interested and it’s been sitting for two months. I asked if it was 4x4 and what was wrong with it and he said, “yes, it is 4x4 but it’s a manual.” The truck was priced at $19,500 and had fewer miles!
I had no idea how to drive manual and I stalled ten times on the way home BUUUUT I’m used to it now and saved around $5,500 on a vehicle purchase! Definitely a frugal win in my book.
