So here in the UK, the cost of water is going up constantly; I've part closed the isolation valve to my washing machine cold water feed as the solenoid valve is timer operated, not volume of water operated (it opens and closes after the same amount of time regardless of flow rate).
I also have a air source heat pump tumble dryer which condenses the water into a tank which can be removed and emptied.
I've just thought, if I take the full tank when starting a wash and pouring it into the detergent drawer, it makes up for the reduced amount of water in the drum.
Thought this was a good idea rather than just dumping it down the drain. #finance source
