Usually, Metamask swaps are convenient since it's easy to access and fast to execute but i just paid close to $75 swapping $900 of ETH to USDC. that's their 0.875% service fee on top of gas, i didn't even notice for months.
It turns out their swap feature is just aggregating other routes with a markup baked in, you're literally paying extra for the convenience of not leaving the wallet.
There has to be a better option that's still non-custodial and shows the real all-in cost before you confirm, no KYC no wrapped tokens. what are people actually using for this? #cryptocurrency
