Pawn Shop P229 for $279 on a "layaway deal"
Stopped by my local pawn shop as I do from time to time to see what of interest they had and stumbled onto this German frame P229 in 40SW from about 2005. Regular price was $399 but they were running a promotion where it was $279 if you put it on layaway. According to the guy behind the counter, corporate thinks their location doesn't sell enough stuff on layaway so they ran this 30% off deal.
The gun is sadly a DAK but for $279 I'll live with it.
