van life with pets?
hi all,
I’m considering getting a van for when i move out next year to attend school. however, i have a small dog (Buffy, spayed female, 16 years old, chihuahua, 4.5 lbs) that i plan on taking with me. however, i just can’t figure out the logistics of how to keep her in the van when im in class or otherwise not in the van. obviously i can’t leave the van running, but she needs ac or she’ll overheat and probably die. how do you work around this issue? should i consider doggy daycare? i really would rather not as she’s elderly and sensitive with separation anxiety, but i can’t seem to come up with any other solution. she’s my ESA but she’s not a service dog, so i can’t take her places with me. what do you all who live van life with pets do? tia!
