What innovations will shape the future of drone technology?
Feels like every few months there's another announcement about longer flight times, AI navigation, better cameras, or autonomous swarms. But I'm curious which developments people actually think will make the biggest difference over the next 5-10 years. To me, drone technology seems to be reaching the point where software matters almost as much as the hardware itself. Smarter autonomy, obstacle avoidance, and better integration between platforms feel more impactful than simply adding another few minutes of flight time. I recently came across some of the work General Cherry is doing, and it got me wondering whether the next major leap will come from entirely new hardware or from improving how existing systems operate. What do you think will have the biggest impact on drone technology going forward? What are people not paying enough attention to yet? #technology
