NGC 7023 Seestar S30 Pro, Bortle 6, 70x10sec, 201x20sec…

NGC 7023

Seestar S30 Pro, Bortle 6, 70x10sec, 201x20sec, 116x30sec (2:17:40) total integration time. Stacked/processed in Siril, balanced in Affinity, cleaned up in Lightroom mobile.

I was surprised on how much I could get the faint dust to show up with such little integration time in a 30mm aperture. I think being very very light with Graxpert, NoiseX, and BlurX was important to get them to show up. This won't be the final iteration (est to get it super detailed is 12hrs) and keeping FWHM under 3.5

This upcoming week is supposed to be very good conditions and approaching a new moon so, fingers crossed, I can get it done.

That dust showing up after barely over two hours in a 30mm is the part that sticks. Staying very light on Graxpert, NoiseX, and BlurX was probably what kept those lanes from getting eaten. Were the 10-second frames mostly to hold the core, or was the setup getting pushed around? #space
