Zatu Games- refunding pre-order?

Quick one,
Have been ordering from zatu for ages and trust them deeply, but have just found a product rhat I pre-ordered from them in a local game store.
Would much rather support the local game-store but also dont want to risk still receiving the same product twice. The pre-order hasnt shipped yet, doesnt come out for a week or two, and the return policy sounds okay. BUT I am only in this city for the day and have a few hours before the local shop shuts, meaning I have to make the decision relatively quickly and potentially before I have confirmation of the cancellation.
Any experience with cancelling pre-orders or orders in general that could help wuth the decision making?
