First “big” project, looking for some help!
Hi all!
Got the below message from a boutique hotel I reached out to about shooting. Some background: I’ve done a few small resort and airbnb shoots, but those were in exchange for a stay, I’ve never put together a full price sheet. I know people generally say something along the lines of pricing based on “what your time is worth to you” but I’m having some trouble putting together actual figures, particularly in regard to ongoing services and licensing for photos/videos. I’m located in Southern California for some context. Message from the hotel is below, any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
“I've been following your work for some time now and have always been incredibly drawn to your aesthetic and storytelling. Your ability to capture spaces and experiences in such an authentic, elevated way aligns beautifully with the vision we have for \[hotel\].
I'd love to explore the opportunity to work together on creating a fresh library of photography and videography for the property, highlighting not only the hotel itself but also the surrounding neighborhood and the lifestyle that makes \[area hotel is in\] so special.
If available, would you mind sending over your rate sheet or pitch deck? I'd love to learn more about your offerings, including:
Photography and videography packages
The number of final edited assets included, as well as access to raw files (if available)
Turnaround times
Licensing and usage rights
Pricing for ongoing content creation, including short-form social content such as Instagram Reels or similar vertical video deliverables
We're looking to invest in timeless, editorial-style content that reflects the elevated, design-forward hospitality experience we're known for, and I believe your work could be an incredible fit.
