Norm Reeves Mazda Irving,TX tried to add 10k to a 10k car and kicked me out for questioning it

I went to Norm Reeves Mazda in Irving, TX this past Saturday.

They had a 2015 Honda Civic listed for about 10,800 with 112,020 miles. Kelley Blue Book puts that car around 10,320 to 11,470.

Then they showed me the actual numbers.

They added a 3900 warranty, 995 GAP, 995 protection package, 1295 security system, and 895 in accessories. That brought the total to over 20,000.

I wasn’t even open to negotiating at that point because the pricing didn’t make sense.

I told them politely that the deal felt off and didn’t add up.

Instead of explaining anything or working with me they got defensive and basically showed me the door, told me have a good day sir and smiled.

I’ve been in sales before and I’ve never operated like that. For me it has always been relational and about the customer’s experience, not stacking add ons and pressuring people into bad deals.

It honestly feels like some dealerships are just trying to find that one desperate person who won’t question anything.

There was no transparency, just packed on add ons and pressure.

People need to be aware of this.
