The Lobster Claw This is what the Lobster Claw nebula…

The Lobster Claw

This is what the Lobster Claw nebula looked like 11,000 years ago, just as Earth was entering the Holocene epoch where humans moved from hunter-gatherers to settled farming, domesticated animals and building our first cities.

With the mass of nearly 20,000 Suns, this enormous, stunning object is located in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way spiral. I'm thrilled our solar system is finally moving into view of our own galaxy again; so many projects planned for the remainder of the year!
