I just finished the nightingale and I'm wrecked...
Guys, I'm wrecked. I just finished The nightingale by Kristin Hannah and it literally tore my heart out. People don't really give much thought to woman in war and the quiet wars waged within. I had to slow myself down reading because I was just consuming this book too quickly. I know it's historical fiction but I saw so much of myself in Isabelle. And honestly, it made me reflect on my own relationships with my family members and trauma.
Who else has read and is utterly changed for it?
