Exploring Electronic Music
I’m completely new to exploring electronic music. I have listened to a few albums (that are at least labelled “electronic” by Apple Music) and found myself enjoying them a lot. For example the new Squarepusher LP and the In a Beautiful Place Out In the Country EP by Boards of Canada
This got me digging into all the types of music branching out of the electronic genre and wondering where to start in terms of understanding them and exploring them
I’ve been enjoying the more ambient and experimental sounding stuff but I am aware of Jungle, House, Techno, Hardstyle ect but don’t really know what they are musically/sound wise or really any musicians within them off of the top of my head. If anyone has any brief information about these sub-genres or any recommendations of any type of electronic please let me know!
