Germans are surprisingly so nice
I was initially scared of doing my exchange semester here based on the usual stereotype of German people being direct, cold, and not very welcoming.
however, when I got here, some of the people are the nicest (even though I can only say danke and hallo!) random grandma just talk to me, people just opened the door for me, and they were so helpful and smiled a lot! I think german friendliness are underappreciated. just my two cents!
