Why do we try to bring down fevers ?
If a fever is the body's natural way of fighting infection, then why do we try to bring fevers down? I understand that fevers aren't fun, but I've wondered this ever since Dr. Luka Kovac on ER asked the same question. The character was from Croatia, so I suppose there is/was a difference in approaches to fevers?
