Disable Files by Google
If you already use the official Google Drive client (via browser or rclone/google-drive-ocamlfuse), it's best to avoid Files by Google. You can uninstall it or simply not use it for transfers.
Use rclone
This is a very popular tool on Linux for synchronizing or mounting Google Drive as a disk. It manages transfers reliably and avoids duplicates.
Configure google-drive-ocamlfuse
This package allows you to mount your Drive directly into your file system. You can then manage your files as if they were local, without going through Files by Google.
Check caches
If you have already used Files by Google, there may be temporary files or blocked sessions remaining. Clearing the cache can resolve some issues.
Prioritize consistency
Even if it's more cumbersome, letting a single application handle the transfer (Drive or rclone) ensures that your files arrive intact and avoids conflicts.
