Metro is pilot-testing a TSA-style security screening at the Union Station subway platform.

Metro has entered into a pilot program with a security company called **evolv**. They will use Metro police to require a percentage of passengers to be randomly screened. They can't process 100% of travelers at peak times. But if you refuse the scan, you will be denied entrance. The scanners will trigger on laptops, and probably phones as well.

They're installing the scanners at both of the archways that lead to the mezzanine and down to the station platform.
