Not sure it's widely known about the issues going on with some people's wave 2 FOA 2.0 pledges
Essentially AR has sent out old 1.0 stock with update packs to backers instead of the 2.0 they backed, they've responded to tickets saying, it's the same gameplay so just get over it and have not acknowledged or addressed that what people are receiving is characteristically different from what they paid for
I've made a whole post about it - but essentially this falls under non-conforming under EU laws
The main issues are that the cards may look different, there is no space for Niamh, swapping from 1.0 to 2.0 with an update pack requires time and work but of course most importantly, these will not sell as well on the second hand market and consumers essentially over paid for ARs old stock without consent
For example, many people could just get old 1.0 stock for much cheaper at the FLGS as they clear it and get update packs in this campaign
Essentially using backers to clear their own old stock without consent or any prior communication is kinda shady, and then gaslighting people in tickets to convince them it's all the same
Anyway the BGG post has sufficient details - I'm just posting here for awareness, to get the community's thoughts on it and to make people who have been affected by the situation aware that they have routes to complain/get compensation via EU laws
If things do need to go further, I'll probably do a big escalation as a group to consumer organisations in Poland so it'll be good to keep track of who has been affected and wants to pursue this if needed in the future #games
