Lutang Moment in Zombie Mode!
We arrived from our 5-day trip in Baguio this morning. We were all in "zombie mode" since yesterday due to more-or-less seven-hour bus ride from Baguio City to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Our flight was scheduled at 5:40 in the Morning. Considering we are supposed to check-in at least two hours before the schedule and considering the Metro Manila traffic, we decided to stay in the Airport pre-departure area.
Therefore, we had little sleep or none at all. I think I was able to doze off for a few minute while lying down on the cold, tiled floor after we have checked in.
Anyway, after we arrived this morning, we took a tricycle, our city's main mode of transport home. We dropped my two companion and when I was to pay, I realized, I did not have my back-pack with me. So I asked the driver to take me back to the airport.
Fortunately, my backpack was still there where I left it. An airport security guard and a police officer were there waiting as part of their security protocol. They asked for my ID which I had been wearing on my neck since we entered the airport in Manila. Since my bag had no name-tag, they asked me for the content as a proof ownership. I said, there is a Bible at the back pocket, and they asked me to show it. I forgot that there is an envelop there with my name on it.
I was just too grateful that I did not lose my bag.
Good night for now, my tangled friends.
