Moving to a new place and need to buy a washing machine - obviously Miele and Bosch are the main options based on other posts here and elsewhere.
Problem is, the cheapest Miele washing machine here in Belgium is 1099 € (W1 WWA 120 WCS), while the cheapest Bosch is 549 € (Serie 4, WAN28270FG).
So all else being equal, and not taking energy consumption into account - even though both are A class - the cheapest Miele has to outlast two cheapest Bosch machines to pay off, which is a really steep requirement.
So my questions are:
* Which one is really more reliable down the road - Miele or Bosch. * Since Miele is so expensive, is this model of Bosch washing machines even good, given that it's the cheapest in the store? * How about repairability of both? I've heard that Miele parts are a lot more expensive, which again adds an additional markup on an already-expensive machine. #lifestyle source
