That’s a big let down for a $800 suitcase. Briggs & Riley’s “Simple as that” warranty is supposed to be no hassle. > If the wheel just fell off after three days, that’s wear and tear, not a manufacturing defect.
You should fight the repair. Send them a photo of the broken wheel and be sure to mention the warranty is meant to cover "damage due to rough handling". If it is a clear defect they usually just send you a replacement part or new case. If it's this new don't let them talk you into sending it back to be repaired.
That said, Samsonite is a good backup. At least you don’t have to deal with non-rolling lugg
