I’m a 22-year-old from Toronto planning a road trip to the western U.S. in late April or early May, between winter & summer semesters. The plan is to drive through Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado for some mountain hiking.
To not have to pay for both a Airbnb + car rental & to make the trip more interesting, I was hoping to rent a van or Sprinter-style camper conversion. It seems like the ideal setup, but I’ve been running into age restrictions everywhere. I’m guessing I might be out of luck, but is this standard across most companies? Do you generally have to be 25+ to rent one of these?
If that’s the case, what alternatives would you recommend? I’m open to renting a regular car and staying at campgrounds, but ideally I’d like something I can sleep in while still having the option to camp properly as well.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. #lifestyle
