Rifle sights for old military rifle
Hello gents!
I have this old Danish Krag Jørgensen. It started life as a full length military rifle, turn of the century style. And they originally had this ladder style rear sight. But some time after its military career, the rifle was shortened to a carbine. And I assume, since the sigh no longer held any correct range markings, it has been replaced with a two position leaf sight. But the gents who made that modification back then, didn't feel like specifying what these two sights are supposed to be zeroed to.
So, I hope that some of you have any good ideas and/or suggestions to what would be a nice replacement sight. I hope to find a solution that gives me great adjustability for zeroing the rifle for range shooting, while still respecting the rifles age and look. Preferably something vintage, that could still pass as a military sight for an old rifle.
And in general if I end up having to fabricate my own solution. If you guy's have any favorite old military rifle sights, that offers great adjustability. Please feel free to comment.
I hope you guys can help. 😊
