In a recent development, Elon Musk has proposed a plan that could see American taxpayers receiving $5,000 checks funded by savings from the Department of Government Efficiency. This initiative, referred to as the “Dividend,” aims to allocate a portion of the anticipated savings from government efficiency measures to provide financial relief to households.
The concept was introduced by James Fishback, CEO of investment firm Azoria. Fishback suggests that if the Department of Government Efficiency can achieve its ambitious target of $2 trillion in savings, then 20% of that amount, approximately $400 billion, could be returned to around 79 million households as tax refund checks.
