Frugal sheet cake recipes avoiding expensive ingredients?
Hi, I need to prepare enough cake for one slice per person for 100 people per day at morning tea events across a week. I am planning a few different loaf cakes - vg gf banana bread, coffee cake (venue is nut free), lemon drizzle, and ginger loaf. The charity I work with is paying for the ingredients, but I don't want to spend too much. Any suggestions for any frugal sheet cakes that seem fancy? Trying to not have to buy chocolate, as it is insanely expensive, or other high cost ingredients. Everything needs to be fairly low effort - I would love to have the time and energy for intricate piping, etc but I have kids and a lot of other responsibilities.
