Best quick lunch spots in Mid-City that aren’t chain fast food?
Hey y’all, I’ve been trying to break my habit of grabbing random drive-thru lunches on workdays and I’m hoping to get some local recs instead. I’m mostly around Mid-City during the week and looking for spots that are quick but still feel like New Orleans, you know? Something that tastes fresh and has a bit of that local flair. I stopped by Nolita Bakery the other day and was actually surprised by how good their grab-n-go stuff was. They had this roasted veggie sandwich that didn’t taste like it had been sitting around forever, which is a miracle. But I’d like to mix it up a bit instead of going to the same place every time.
Do y’all have any go-to bakeries or cafes in Mid-City that you love for a quick bite? I’ve heard about a few smaller spots but can’t tell which ones actually serve lunch and which are just coffee and pastries. Bonus points if it’s something I can pick up fast during a lunch break but still feels like real food.
