I built 40 WCAG AA react components, 0 axe issues, <26 KB gzipped. Free React library and open source.
Been working on this for a bit now. It’s a React component library I built around four things I refused to cut corners on.
Every component is WCAG AA compliant out of the box. Keyboard nav, focus management, correct ARIA… all built in from day one, not patched in later. Ran axe against the whole library. Zero violations.
Performance actually mattered too. The demo site hits 99 Performance / 100 Accessibility / 100 SEO on Lighthouse. FCP 0.6s, TBT 0ms. All animations are transform and opacity only. The whole library is under 26 KB gzipped.
Every component works on real devices at 375px. Touch targets meet the 44x44px WCAG requirement. Mobile wasn’t an afterthought.
And it’s actually fast to get started with. No config files, no theme providers, no required context wrappers. npm install and you’re rendering components in under 2 minutes.
