A man was recently caught walking around at night in a recently murdered victim's cloth.

A Chinese female international student who went missing in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, was found dead.

The suspect arrested by police was a man in his 30s, a Chinese national who had reported her missing. Investigations revealed that the man killed the victim and then disguised himself in her clothes to make it appear as though she had disappeared.

Following the crime, Jeong began staging her disappearance. Around 10:30 p.m. the same day, he left the house alone, wearing a woman’s dress and a hat pulled low over his face. He was pulling A’s suitcase.

Police presume Jeong wore A’s clothes, though they differ from what he had on when entering the house. Jeong reportedly told police, “There were several of her clothes at home.”

Jeong turned off A’s phone while carrying it and headed to Dongdaegu Station. He changed into men’s clothes brought in the suitcase at a bathroom near the station before returning to his home in Gyeongsan. Police view this as an attempt to make it seem like A had left the house on her own.

Jeong reported A missing at 7:05 p.m. on the 21st. He told emergency services, “I’m A’s boyfriend. She left saying she was going to Daegu, but I haven’t heard from her since.”

A’s body was found at Jeong’s house. During questioning, Jeong admitted, “I strangled her to death.”
