So I have been getting into the habit of taking brand new photographs now that I have moved to Japan; some from my phone's amazing quality, others from a studio camera I have. I don't personally have large camera stands set up like I've seen from other insensitive tourists do (Especially within Shibuya Crossing).
I know it's a general rule within Japan to not take pictures of people/places featuring people without their permission, and thus, I've stuck to many cityscape photographs instead; as well as nature photography on my own personal wandering long walks in Kanto...But I do want to eventually get more photos of generally populated areas; like Yoyogi, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, etc. But I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, let alone get in trouble with this in mind--Nor do I plan on getting extra amounts of equipment and post up in random spots. I've even avoided taking picture of, in, or near temples and shrines, as I want to be respectful of the religions here, such as Shintoism & Buddhism and the wishes of the general public.
Are there any general tips I can get about taking pictures within Japan? And on a seperate note, are there any good spots to take general photos with this in mind that you all would recommend? #local source
