Places to see in BW? or near BW?
hi everyone !! I’ve been living in Baden-Württemberg for a few years now, and some of my English family members are coming to visit soon. I’d love to show them around, but I’m not quite sure where to take them!
I’m looking for places that are more *activity-oriented* — not just castles or scenic lookouts (though those are lovely too). For example, something like Bayern Park, which is close enough for a day trip from us. They’re an active bunch and enjoy doing things rather than just sightseeing.
One of my cousins is super into **photography**, so ideally, I’d love to find spots that are not only fun or outdoorsy, but also **visually interesting** — places with great landscapes, cool architecture, and so on.
Do you have any recommendations for:
* Theme or adventure parks
* Photogenic villages, towns, or lesser-known city corners
* Fun museums or interactive exhibitions
* Or just anything unusual that locals love?
I’m 19, and the people visiting are in their late 20s and 40s, so I’m not 100% sure what kind of stuff they’d enjoy. I also don’t want to plan things that feel too young or random. If you’re local or have traveled the area, I’d love your recommendations! Hidden gems, day trips, fun towns, even tips on what older visitors tend to enjoy here — I’ll take anything 🙏
