Are there any frozen treats that Muslims cannot or will not eat?
There are around 15 kids between the ages of 4 and 14 that live on my street. Most play outside when the weather is nice. All the neighbors are on friendly-ish terms. No major beefs, no parking fights, take garbage cans inside when someone is out of town, etc.
Naturally, our street is a target of ice cream trucks. However, while some kids do get ice cream, many cannot afford it. This weekend, I want to hand out ice cream to any kids that want some.
Before I do, I want to make sure about any dietary restrictions. A handful of the kids are Muslim (familes from Pakistan). Is there anything in particular that I can buy from the grocery store that their parents would let them eat?
I'm planning to get Nestle Drumstick cones, Whole Fruit ice pop bars, and Luigi's Italian Ices since they are on sale this week at ShopRite.
