What are your thoughts on poor folk by Dostoevsky?
I’ve decided to read all of Dostoevsky’s books from the beginning and just finished poor folk. I thought it was a fairly interesting novel about the nature of being and the quiet sadness and indignation alongside it. I felt like I was missing something by not having read any Pushkin as from what I’ve heard and from the text itself makar is meant to be a parallel to a character from one of his stories. I just wanted to hear some other people’s thoughts on the novel and some time to think it over before moving on to his next one.
