Tehillim to say for a deceased non-Jew?
Hello all,
To make a long story short, my non-Jewish spouse recently died and I am arranging a funeral ceremony according to their own tradition. However, because I am Jewish, something within me yearns to engage in traditional Jewish prayer in this trying time, as I look for peace and hope that my spouse's soul can find peace.
After some consultation, it seems improper to say Kel Male Rachamim for my spouse as they weren't Jewish. Still, I would like to say some tehillim at the ceremony.
Does anyone have any suggestions for beautiful and moving tehillim to say at a moment like this that could comfort both myself and their own soul? Thank you.
