More than 1,000 people have died in flash floods across Nepal and Tibet, with 4,400 still missing nearly a week after the disaster. 🌊

Rescuers are focusing on flood-damaged hydropower sites, where authorities said about 600 people remained trapped in devastated stations after 279 workers were rescued.

The collapse was reported to have involved glacier ice and bedrock, while damaged roads, bridges and unstable terrain have made access difficult. Families of missing tourists have been asked to provide DNA samples to help identify victims.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has appealed for CHF 25 million to support recovery, estimating that about 93,000 people may have been affected. Aid, communications restoration and searches continue. 🏔️
