There is this rumor that "Actually Romantic" is a diss track about Charli XCX. Here's why it was possible:
- Everything is Romantic is from Track 7 of Brat. Actually Romantic is also on the Track 7.
- Taylor holds an apple in the visualizer. Charli has an "Apple" song, which is the most popular song from "brat."
The rumor started when a netizen noticed that Taylor responded with "Sympathy is a Knife" in the track. Although there's a part of me that thinks it is not a feud between the two, I think it's like a response. "Sympathy is a Knife" is about a song on sharing Charli's insecurities, but not a direct diss towards Taylor Swift. We always have this thought of feeling insecure about someone to the point that we think something evil. It's how we feel, but we don't do or act like what we think because it's not right. Just my two cents.
