Struggling with Naguib Mahfouz
I have read him before (I read a couple of his shorter books), but I am struggling with Palace Walk. It is so repetitive, he spent so long introducing the characters, and even now I am almost midway through the book and nothing really has happened that moves the narrative forward. Even when a pretty significant event has happened, it just feels like nothing changes.
If anyone has read the Palace walk trilogy, does it get better? ould I perservere?
