75 years after the publication of JRR Tolkien's Leaf by Niggle, the story of Niggle's struggle with distractions and his journey towards the mountains is available to watch online.
Richard Medrington's one-man performance of Tolkien's miniature masterpiece, framed with tales and artefacts from the family attic, was first staged in 2016. The production, made with permission from the Tolkien Trust and featuring a soundtrack composed by multi award-winning folk artist Karine Polwart, has delighted audiences across the UK, at the Edinburgh Fringe, Oxonmoot and was a highlight at Tolkien 2019 in Birmingham.
With the COVID crisis halting theatre events across the world, the Tolkien Trust have kindly given further permission for Puppet State Theatre Company to share online a filmed version of their faithful stage adaptation of Leaf by Niggle to ticketed viewers for a limited period of time.

The footage will be available in high definition on YouTube until 1st September to supporters for as little as £10.
