Starting October 12, 2025, Europe will officially say goodbye to passport stamps and hello to biometric travel. The new Entry/Exit System (EES) will use facial recognition and fingerprint scanning to record travelers entering or leaving EU borders.
This digital system aims to reduce lines, increase security, and automatically detect overstays. Data will be encrypted and stored for up to three years, replacing manual passport checks with automated gates powered by AI.
Airports, seaports, and land crossings across the Schengen Area are already upgrading their terminals to support this change. Travelers from over 60 non-EU countries, including the U.S. , U.K. , and India, will experience faster, paperless movement across borders.
It’s the end of the stamp era — and the beginning of frictionless, high-tech travel across Europe. #fblifestyle
