Battery maintainer: Solar -> Power Bank -> ? -> Vehicle Battery

I have 400w of solar connected to a Goal Zero. I'd like to maintain/trickle charge the battery in my Sprinter.

Can I just connect a 12v output to the starter battery or do I need a dedicated DC-DC charger?
