Where should I go for a short trip in NRW?
me and my gf (21) would like to go on a small trip in Germany near the end of march before uni starts again. Somewhere in NRW, but we would love to hear destination ideas from others :)
* 2-3 days
* using public transport like flixbus and regional trains/busses (travel times ideally up to 4ish hours max one way)
* starting the trip from Dusseldorf/Cologne/Bonn area
* we would like to do some light hiking there or on the way to another interesting location, we are open to any other fun activities or places to explore
Any tips are welcome, also ideas for affordable accommodation.
