What I am planning to read yet is
Anatole France - the procurator of Judea (on Pilate)
José Saramago - the gospel according to Jesus Christ
Nikos Kazantzakis - the Last Temptation
D. F. Strauß - the life of Jesus (non-fiction)
Kiril Eskov - the gospel of Afranius
Pasolini and Mel Gibson made a movie each and Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote a musical. It's not really literature, is it?
