Why is it ok to send American jobs overseas?
If immigrants taking American jobs is a paramount issue, why is it that corporations are allowed to stop hiring in the US and staff non-executive jobs overseas?
I work with people in Columbia and India. While they are great colleagues, I know it’s just a matter of time before me and my team are impacted and our jobs will be “offshored”.
There’s so much attention placed on people coming to America and taking our jobs, but no one says a thing about the real jobs problem. Big corporations sending our jobs out of America, are putting profits over people.
We have a job and earnings crisis in this country. I work for a big company. They just reported great earnings. For those that weren’t laid off, we got a 2% increase. We charge our clients 3% COLA!
We need our elected representatives to hold big business accountable to grow and maintain an American workforce. For those who choose to send jobs overseas,tax the shit out them for not investing in US talent.
