Hospital won’t send me my medical record
Disclaimer: not actually me, I’m helping a friend.
My polish friend had to go to the ER during a joined trip in rural Saxony. Now her insurance wants the medical record (Arztbrief) before paying, but she can’t find it anymore. She called the hospital (in english) and I also called (in german). They told us both, that they can’t send anything by E-Mail or regular mail because of Datenschutz, she would have to be physically present (which is not feasible), although they send the bill per regular mail without any fuss.
Is there a possibility to convince them to send it via mail?
