Jalopnik's staff fleet update didn't go over as expected

Commenters were roasting the staff, for a number of good reasons, mainly the fact that despite having 6 editors and 43 writers, they only featured 7 staff members and their cars. Of those 7, 3 don't actually own cars ( 2 of the 3 take public transit because they live in New York City) and of the ones that do own vehicles, there's nothing particularly enthusiast-y about the things they own: a 20 year old Mercedes CLS, a Fiat 500E, a near decade old Mini Cooper S and a Suzuki GSX-8R. One comment though described the site and why people are done with it perfectly:
*I'll admit, I remember the olden days when this was a much better list full of people who might have been deranged, but could never be accused of owning a shortage of vehicles.*
*I miss old Jalopnik. There, I said it. This site has completely lost its flair. It used to be the enthusiast's last stop, where pedantry ruled and no detail was too obscure, where people came to meet with the other car enthusiasts who had something wrong with them, because we loved cars Too Much. A community of oddballs, outcasts, malcontents, pendents, and weirdos.*
*That's gone, now. I don't know what it is now, but it's not that.*
*I think I'm done.*
