Is Noctua NH-U12S enough for a Ryzen 7 9700x in its 105w TDP mode?
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing great!
I just bought a Ryzen 7 9700X because I needed a new CPU, and it was on a crazy sale. So far, it has been working great.
I play a lot of Cities Skylines 2, which is a pretty CPU heavy game, and I want to squeeze as much performance out of the CPU as I can. However, I’m a bit worried about putting it into the 105W mode.
In the standard 65W mode, it reaches around 73–79°C, but I’m worried that it might go above 90°C if I switch it to the 105W TDP mode.
Do you guys think it’s safe to run it at 105W, or should I just stick with the 65W mode?
